The Kings Head

We had a great one night stay at The King's Head, in the area for a friend's birthday. We stayed in one of the stable rooms in the back garden and it was exactly what we needed; spacious and clean with a comfy bed, fluffy towels, a super hot shower + space to hang your clothes. We were really impressed for the price and with a large kettle provided + mugs, tea, coffee and milk we were very comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was excellent with a variety of options and the super-friendly staff went out of their way to accommodate me as a vegan; getting in museli and soya milk especially and cooking mushrooms and tomatoes separately without butter. If you have dietary requirements just call them in advance and they will happily sort you out. We'll definitely be staying again when we are next in the area. 10/10

We stay here quite a bit when visiting family. If you want to visit Sawston the only real options are here or the Premier Inn in Whittlesford. This place is very well located and you can walk pretty much anywhere you need to. The rooms are quite cozy. The staff have always been pretty nice not really much else to say. If you need a hotel in Sawston I'd just stay here.

Nothing was too much trouble the staff were lovely and very accommodating! Clean and tidy room, perfect for a weekend stay, will definitely return! Thank you.

Stayed for 1 night. Staff and regulars are very friendly. Had a stable room, newly refurbished, with own outdoor seating area. Room was spacious and clean. Lovely village location. Would definitely recommend.

Ignore any older comments about the rooms. We booked to stay here (2 adults, 1 child and a dog) and the rooms had clearly been recently refurbished. Beds were comfy, shower was clean and worked great, couldn't fault the room whatsoever. Didn't eat or drink in the pub, but very much enjoyed our breakfasts the next morning. Owners were lovely too. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic little pub doing B+B also. Beautiful inside, low (and I mean really low, like about six ft. Maybe it should be renamed 'The Injured Head'...) oak beam ceilings. Pub is a bit on the small side... perhaps I should say cosy, yeah, cosy is better! Stayed the night and the room was perfectly fine, breakfast was great, got exactly what we asked for. Staff also very pleasant and greeted us warmly. Would recommend and stay again. Good value too!

This pub had recently been refurbed during Covid-19. Rooms where comfortable with everything you needed, excellent value for money. We were made to feel welcome by Robbie and Anita and nothing to much trouble. Breakfast included in price and was amazing. All good we had was home made and delicious lived the Lasagna. They do there best to adhere to Social Distancing, and if bars full locals were asked to sit outside as well as general visitors. Thank you for lovely stay and we will be back

Awesome pub with amazing staff who make you feel at home. I would also highly recommend the rooms that they offer. They’re really comfortable and the staff take really good care of you.

Brilliant little pub that is frequented by Sawstons locals... the accommodation is of a good standard and the breakfast is excellent, original open fires warm the pub in the colder months, off road parking (round the back) is limited. Close to Town supermarket and two ATMs Bakers, good take a way food shops to. Beer is excellent and very well kept/presented

Second time visiting, first time staying here. This is an extremely friendly and welcoming pub, staff and locals alike, really enjoy visiting. Rooms were really clean and spacious. A really enjoyable stay.
